Daily Care and Healthy Hair Habits

Your Hair by Clo extensions are an investment. With the right care and maintenance, your extensions can remain soft, beautiful, and reusable for multiple installs.

Washing & Conditioning

Wash your extensions as needed using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Use lukewarm water and gently cleanse the hair without aggressively rubbing or bunching it together. Rinse thoroughly to prevent product buildup.

Detangling

For best results, use your Hair by Clo Paddle Brush to gently detangle your extensions, starting from the ends and working your way upward.

For curly textures, we recommend detangling while the hair is damp and conditioned. Work through the hair in sections to maintain your curls and make detangling easier.

Moisture & Products

Keep your extensions moisturized using a lightweight leave-in conditioner, serum, or products suited to your hair texture.

Curly textures can be refreshed with water and your preferred curl-defining products. Avoid excessive use of heavy products, as buildup can weigh down the hair.

Heat Styling

Hair by Clo human hair extensions are heat-friendly and can be straightened, curled, and restyled with hot tools.

Always apply a heat protectant before styling to help protect the hair and maintain its quality. Just like your natural hair, proper heat protection is important when regularly using hot tools.

Drying

Extensions can be air-dried or blow-dried depending on your desired style. When using a blow dryer or other heated styling tools, apply heat protectant beforehand.

Always ensure your extensions are completely dry before going to bed to help prevent unnecessary tangling and matting.

Nighttime Care

Gently detangle your extensions before bed and secure the hair in a way that protects your style. Sleep with a silk or satin bonnet, scarf, or pillowcase to minimize friction, frizz, and tangling.

Raw human hair requires maintenance just like your natural hair. Slight variations in texture and natural color are normal characteristics of raw hair.
